O'NEIL, Steven Robert - 54 years old of Bakersfield, California, passed away suddenly on Saturday, August 10, 2013. He was the son of Millie (Nelson) O'Neil, Middleton, and the late Robert O'Neil. Steve lived life to the fullest and was an avid scuba diver, golfer and skydiver. His passion for diving and the world's oceans led him to take on the task of teaching 2nd grade children by taking them on class trips to Long Beach Aquarium and help them understand the wonders of our oceans. Besides his mother, Steven is survived by his wife, Pam (Hart), Bakersfield, California; sons, Terry, Whitecourt, AB; James, Bakersfield, California; Shamus, Abbotsford, B.C.; daughters, Chelsey, Edmonton, AB; Marissa, Ogden, Utah; sisters, Susan (Eugene) Meyer, Germany; Patricia (Sylvain) Brown, Saskatoon, Sask.; nephews, Shane, James, Ryjin, Christopher, Callum, Terry and niece, Raelynn. Steven will be missed by so many friends from all around the world. Besides his father, he was predeceased by a brother, Billy. The funeral service will be held 2:00PM, Thursday, August 22, 2013 in St. John's United Church, Middleton with Rev. Karen Ralph officiating. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Middleton.
