Penny, Steven Reginald – 63 of Victoria Vale, NS passed away suddenly on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at home. Born on January 1, 1961, he was a son of the late Reginald and Lois (Hirtle) Penny. Steven was a licensed mason for over 40 years, and later became a jack of all trades. He was very outgoing, willing to help anyone, and enjoyed his years as a volunteer fire fighter in Nictaux. One of his biggest loves and passions was his family, especially his grandchildren. Steven is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Sandra; sons, Justin (Sarah), Bridgewater; Nathan (Jessica), Zwickers Lake; grandson, Jaxson; granddaughter Holly; brothers, Darrel (Dawn), Nictaux; Glenn (Joan), Centrelea; sister, Wanda, Nictaux; and several nieces and nephews. Steven was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Keith Russell Cole. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the first responders. In keeping with Steven's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life service will be held 11:00 am on Saturday, January 27, 2024 in Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, toll free 1-855-825-3448, with Rev. Leon Langille officiating.
