Obituary

Waldrum, Steven Douglas – Age 65 of Greenwood, Kings Co., passed away peacefully, Friday, May 31, 2024, at home. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late George and Doreen (Pinkney) Waldrum.

Steve served in the Canadian Air Force since 1979. He was a well-loved hockey and baseball coach with both Greenwood Minor Hockey and Greenwood Minor Baseball. Steve was an active volunteer with the 107 RCAF Wing for many years. He loved to play Darts with his friends and wife and even when confined to a wheelchair it never stopped him from socializing and living life to the fullest.

Steve is survived by his loving wife, Wendy; sons, Robert (Tanya)Young, Raymond (Ryan) McAdam Young, Cory Waldrum (Steve's favourite), Jeffrey (Maxine) Waldrum; grandchildren, Trystan Young, Colton Young, Fionn McAdam Young, Myah McAdam Young, Isabella Waldrum (Light of his life), Jayden, Skye, Owen and Rilley Barkhouse; great grandson, River; sister, Susan Reinhart; brother, Sam Waldrum; his loving dogs, Copper and Lilah. Besides his parents, Steve was predeceased by his brothers, Terry and Michael Waldrum.
