MARSHALL, Stewart Leslie ~ age 81 of East Torbrook, NS passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at the Valley Regional Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Born in Middleton, NS, he was a son of the late Lawrence and Ella (Parker) Marshall. Stewart loved hunting, fishing and enjoyed working in the woods. He was actively involved with the West Kings Community Fair and loved helping his nephew Jeff on the farm. Stewart enjoyed building things and helping anyone in the community. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his daughters, Cathy (Paul) Kinghorn, Halifax; Shelly (Larry) Gates, Middleton; sons, Jim (Anne) Marshall, East Torbrook; Mike (Marie) Marshall, Berwick; sisters, Margaret Morse, Harmony; Ellen (Ernie) Caldwell, Lower Sackville; brothers, Edgar (Margaret) Marshall, Port Alberni, BC; Phillip Parker, Saint John, NB; brother-in-law, Peter Dunford, Bedford; grandchildren, Andrew Marshall (Josanne Robicheau), Kingston; Jenna Marshall (Jaydon King), Middleton; Gregory Marshall, East Torbrook; Brandon Marshall (Meaghan Coventry), Lakelands; Matthew Marshall, Berwick; Emma Kinghorn and Amanda Kinghorn, both of Halifax; Ryan Gates and Hayley Gates (Matt Lewis), both of Middleton and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Kay; sister, Elaine; sister-in-law, Ann Parker and brother-in-law, Donald Morse. In keeping with Stewart's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m., Sunday, September 8 , in Kingston District Fire Hall, 570 Sparky Street, Kingston. A private family interment will be held in Tremont Cemetery, with Rev. Leon Langille officiating. Donations in Stewart's memory may be made to the West Kings Community Fair or charity of your choice.
