Suzanne Lois
Kinsman
November 27, 1967 – March 17, 2025
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Suzanne Lois Kinsman, aged 57, of East Kingston, who passed away peacefully on Monday, March 17, 2025, at Valley Regional Hospital in Kentville. Suzanne was born in Middleton, the daughter of Velma (Chesley) and the late Murray Kinsman.
A bright and dedicated individual, Suzanne earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Acadia University. She spent ten years working in Ottawa for Budget, before returning home to contribute to various local organizations, including working for TRA Atlantic, Larsen's, and the Municipality of Kings. Suzanne was also a committed member and treasurer of the Kingston & District Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary, where her contributions to the community were deeply appreciated.
A woman with a love for adventure, Suzanne found joy in traveling the world. Her most cherished memories were of her travels to Australia and New Zealand, where she embraced the beauty of new cultures and landscapes. Her enthusiasm for exploring the world never waned, and her stories from those journeys will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
Suzanne leaves behind her devoted mother, Velma; her brother Mark (Jill) of Nictaux; her aunts, Lois Howard, Gloria Surridge, Judi Kinsman, and Dianne Chesley; her nieces Cynthia-Ann, Stevie-Lynn, Bethany and Amy; and her nephew Logan. She was predeceased by her father Murray, her grandparents, Ron and Marion Chesley, and Gordon and Jean Kinsman, her uncles Richard Chesley, Bill Surridge, and Larry Kinsman.
In keeping with Suzanne's wishes, a private graveside service will be held Thursday March 20 at North Kingston Cemetery. The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the dedicated staff of the VON and the EHS transport service for their care and compassion.
Suzanne's memory will continue to inspire those who knew her - a loving daughter, a caring sister, a dedicated worker, and an adventurous spirit. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Suzanne's memory may be made to the Kingston & District Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary, an organization she cared for deeply.
May she rest in peace, her love for life and the world will remain in our hearts forever.
