BANKS, Sylvia Margaret "Sue" - age 70, of Wilmot, NS. Our beloved Mother left us to be in the arms of angels, surrounded by her loving family, and two of her very dear friends, on August 4, 2015, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Middleton on April 3, 1945, she was the youngest of five children to Doug and Emma (Jones) Jamieson. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Donald (Bev), Margaretsville and sister, Joan Rice, Bear River. Sue is survived by son Glenn (Kelly), Forest Glade and daughter Jamie Banks, Melvern Square; granddaughters Stefanie and Shelby Banks; sister Elaine Harris, Margaretsville, brother Alan (Polly) Jamieson, Miramichi, NB, brother-in-law Fred Rice, Bridgetown, and several special nieces and nephews. Sue enjoyed many a coffee and cigarette with friends at her kitchen table over the years. She was always up for a good laugh and loved to have fun. Sue may have resembled her mother, but she inherited her father's stubbornness and sharp tongue. She was full of spunk right till the end and wished she had more time for goodbyes to all her friends. She also loved gardening, and could be found in the greenhouse at Green Leaf Enterprises planting and delivering flowers around the Valley. All those that knew her adored her. Jamie made it possible for her mother to remain in her own home as long as she could and we know she is forever grateful for that. Although she only had two children and two grandchildren, she was a "mother" to many special people in her life and was known as "Aunt Sue", "Aunt Sibby" and "Nanny Sue" to many. Sue especially loved spending time with her family. In keeping with Sue's wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held from 2:00PM - 4:00PM, Saturday, August 8, 2015 in the Margaretsville & District Fire Hall, 2768 Highway 362. Private family interment will be held in Church Grove Cemetery, Melvern Square with Rev. Leon Langille officiating. Donations in Sue's memory may be made to the ALS Society of Nova Scotia. Arrangements have been entrusted to Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448. Online guest book may be signed by visiting: www.middletonfuneralhome.com
