Power, Sylvia May – Age 76 of Cottage Cove, Annapolis Co., passed away Friday, March 25, 2022, at home. Born in Port George, she was a daughter of the late Donald and Lillian (Ernst) Banks. Sylvia took care of Cottage Cove Provincial Park and Hillside Cemetery for many years. She enjoyed watching game shows, doing search word puzzles and Sunday dinners with the family. She was famous for her home baked sweets. She was a loving mother and grandmother who took excellent care of her family. Sylvia is survived by her daughter, Diane (Terry) Power, Aylesford; son, Blair Power, Cottage Cove; granddaughter, Miranda Power; great grandson, Grayson Power; sister, Flora "May" Parrish, Greenwood; brother, Murray Banks, Middleton. Besides her parents, Sylvia was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence "Leo" Power; son, Gary Power; sisters, Mary Banks and Joyce Daniels. A private graveside service will be held in Hillside Cemetery Port George, Rev. Dr. Danny Smith officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory may be made to Hillside Cemetery, Port George.
