Sylvia Beatrice Vidito

VIDITO, Sylvia Beatrice ~ age 77 of Halifax, NS passed away on Thursday June 4, 2026, in QEII VG Site, Halifax. Born in Nictaux, NS she was a daughter of the late Audrey (Hatt) Walker and stepfather Donald Walker.

Sylvia moved into Oxford Manor, Halifax in 1999 where she was loved by staff and residents. Residents would call her Mother Hen as she was always willing to help them with appointments or outings. Sylvia enjoyed hosting bingo, barbeques, people watching and going to the Oasis to socialize. She loved music and watching the news and her favorite show Let’s Make a Deal. Sylvia will be missed by all who know her.

She is survived by her daughter, Donna Walker, Kingston; son, Roddy Weir (Sandy Wood), Wilmot; granddaughters, Morgan (Dane) McPhee, Cole Harbour and Hayley Weir; great grandchildren, Dallas and Daisy; sister, Nancy Curtis, Alberta; brothers, Steve (Kristine) Vidito, Port Mouton; Darrell (Pat) Walker, Wilmot; Kim (Boz) Walker, Halifax; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her father Homer Vidito, brothers, Kevin, Allan and sister, Shelley. In keeping with Sylvia’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held 2:00PM Saturday, June 20, 2026, in North Kingston Cemetery with Rev. Elizabeth Amirault officiating. Donations in Sylvia’s memory may be made to the charity of your choice. The family would like to thank the Oxford Manor staff for all their wonderful care of Sylvia.
