Obituary

It is with profound sadness that the family and friends of Teresa Marguerite Brinton-Mombourquette of South Farmington, announce her peaceful passing with loved ones by her side on October 26, 2020 in Soldier's Memorial Hospital, Middleton.

Teresa was born March 11, 1957 in Zweibrücken, Germany, to the late Gerald and Katherine(Dorothy)(Hébert)Brinton.

Teresa and her family spent 3 years in Germany before returning to Canada. She lived in Ottawa for 5 years, then onto Bagotville, Quebec until her father's career brought them to Greenwood in 1969. She attended West Kings High School, where she was a cheerleader, and later graduated from Nova Scotia Teacher's College in 1993. She married Michael Mombourquette in 1995 and traveled to Ireland and lived there for a few years.

Teresa was a substitute teacher for many years. After retiring from teaching she worked as a bartender for the Legion.

Teresa has been known to be unapologetically blunt, often mistaken as cranky to some.

Teresa loved Rock & Roll to the fullest! She attended many concerts throughout the years. She had many talents, as she was an exceptional artist. She enjoyed gardening, nature, especially bird watching, darts, playing cards with the girls, and reading. Teresa was very meticulous in everything she did.

Teresa was a dedicated member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br#1, Middleton for 20 years. She held many positions including, Honors and Awards, Public Relations, and she was the best membership chair ever. She also went above and beyond and ran Friday night dart league for years, then stayed on as league treasurer. Teresa was a huge supporter in the youth darts program and loved playing with her "little dart buddy" Liam.

She leaves to mourn her one and only son, who she loved more than life itself, Kevin(Jillian Des Jardins)Brinton, South Farmington; Her sweetheart Wally Lewis, South Farmington; Brothers, Larry(Melodi)Brinton, Morristown, John(Marlene)Brinton, Edmonton, Alberta; Ruby, a special little girl who she loved like a granddaughter; several nieces and nephews; Tigger and Spunky, her babies
