Born in Inglisville, NS, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence Sr and Bertha (Connell) Whitman. Terry worked tirelessly over her life in municipal government and civil service, both in the communities of Annapolis Royal and New Minas. Throughout her life she found incredible joy in music, often with her loving husband Gordie by her side - playing guitar, ukulele, mandolin, drums, and a beautiful singing voice. A loving and caring friend, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother, she strived to make the lives of everyone who knew her better. She will be deeply missed by her daughters Natasha Silver, Plymouth, Michigan; Tia (Alexi) Silver Surette, Moncton; brothers Aubrey Whitman, Bridgetown; Lawrence Jr. "Sonny" (Sue Huelin) Whitman, Herring Cove; sisters, Phyllis (Kevin) McLean, Lequille; Dale Whitman, Dartmouth; beloved granddaughters, Hailey (Noah) Silver Hopkins, Olive Yu, Claire Surette, and Zoë Surette; many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Terry was predeceased by the love of her life and best friend, husband Gordon "Gordie" Silver; and her twin sisters, Jean Stoddart and Joan Connell.
