Banks, Thelma Jean – 77, of Wilmot, passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at home. Born in Gaspereau Valley, she was a daughter of the late Burton and Viola (Langille) Coldwell. Thelma grew up in Melanson and enjoyed the entire area of Grand Pre. She was a Jehovah's Witness devoted to the Bible's prophesies. She loved her family dearly and was a devoted mother who was kind and good to everyone, especially her grandchildren who she had much love for. Surviving is her loving husband of 25 years, Stanley; children Burton Frank, Yarmouth; Carol Ann Frank, Kentville; Leo Frank, Bridgewater; step-children, Aaron Banks, and Amanda Banks, both of Halifax; grandchildren, Jeremy and Brittany; brothers Manford, Grand Pre; Vernon (Nancy), Berwick; sister Linda (David) Weaver, Coldbrook; brother-in-law Wayne Parker, Windsor; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by brothers Milton and Morris; sisters Joyce and Sheila. In keeping with Thelma's wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family interment will be held 3:00 pm on Sunday, June 8, 2025 in Gaspereau Cemetery. A memorial service will take place 3:00 pm on Sunday, June 22 in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Kingston.
