Obituary

PELTON, Thelma Kathleen 74 of Nictaux passed away Monday, October 11, 2010 in Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Woodside, Kings County, she was a daughter of the late Cecil and Frances (Preece) Sherman. In early years Thelma was employed as a sales clerk in various retail businesses in the area. She was a former member of the Digby Fish and Game Association and enjoyed playing cards and bingo. She is survived by daughter Linda (Bert) Green, Kingston. Sisters Marie Cropley and Joyce Coleman, both of Nictaux as well as brothers Johnny Sherman and Donald Sherman (Sharon Acker), both of Nictaux; seven grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren as well as special friend and companion Paul Graves and his family. Thelma was predeceased by her husband Ray and son Rickie. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 14th in the Nictaux Baptist Church, Rev. Bill McLeod officiating. Interment will be in the Nictaux Community Cemetery. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448.
