Theresa Adelaide Brown (Terry) - age 88 of Kingston, Kings Co., passed away on Friday November 11th, 2022. Born in Berwick, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Toney) Hampsey. Terry was predeceased by her husband Victor (Vic), her sister Joyce, brother-in-law Armand and her brothers Pat, John, and sister-in-law Norma. She is survived by her, daughter Debbie, sons Chris and Ron (Susan), her grandsons, Brad (Rachel), Brett, Warren and Matthew (Alana), great grandchildren Kendall, Blake.as well as brothers Jim, Eric, and sister-in-law Carol. Terry met her future husband Vic while they were both serving in the Royal Canadian Air Force. Once they were married Terry left the Air Force to raise their family. During Vic's career they were posted in Nova Scotia, Quebec, Germany, and Manitoba. After Vic retired from the Air Force, they settled in Woodstock Ontario for his second career. They returned to Terry's cherished Annapolis Valley to enjoy their retirement and a marriage that lasted for 59 years before Vic's passing in 2014.Terry was always up for an adventure. In addition to her weekly bingo schedule, she enjoyed her biannual trips to the Air Women's reunions across Canada especially the one held in Whitehorse. Terry was able to visit family in Northern Ireland in 2008 which included side trips to Edinburgh and London. She was able to travel to Las Vegas with her niece Monique on several occasions. Terry always looked forward to hosting family get togethers capped by a spirited game of 45's which always ended with a dramatic game of showdown. She was particularly proud of her indigenous heritage and was a respected elder of the Annapolis Valley First Nation. Terry had a unique ability to connect with people. It was not uncommon for her to know your life's story only minutes after she met you. She will be truly missed by her family and wide circle of friends. A celebration of life will be held for Terry at the Kingston Legion starting at noon on Saturday November 19 ^th .
