Obituary

LEE, Thomas (Tom) Reginald ~ age 74, passed away peacefully at his home at Mountain Lea Lodge in Bridgetown NS on Saturday, February 18, 2023 surrounded by loved ones. Born in Liverpool NS, Tom is the son of the late Annie (Falls) and Seth Lee. Besides his parents, Tom was predeceased by sisters Gloria, Joan and Louise and brothers Scottie, Richard and Wayne.

Tom worked for the National Archives of Canada in Quebec and Ontario until an injury led to his return to Nova Scotia in his late forties. Once Tom and family settled in the Middleton area, his work included training dogs and chauffeuring individuals around the Annapolis Valley NS.

Tom's passions included writing poems; sketch drawing; and music. His love for music began at the age of five when he sang on the radio to help raise money for the Nova Scotia Home for Coloured Children where he resided for ten years. Throughout his life, Tom sang in churches, nightclubs, concerts, cabarets and at special events and occasions such as bringing comfort through song to family and friends in hospital or at home.

Tom was loved and cherished by many close friends, especially by Donna Burton and Frank Dobbin. Tom was well known in the community and was often fondly referred to as 'The Mayor of Middleton.'

Tom is survived by his sister Mary (Andre) Jean and brother Larry (Pearl) Lee; his daughter Brandy and his son Bronson (fiancé Shyanne); his granddaughter Charlie; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
