ACKER, Travis John ~ Age 30 of Nictaux passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2021. Born in Bridgewater, he was a son of Richard Acker and M. Angela "Angie" Morton (formerly Acker). Travis worked on a variety of valley farms and as a traffic controller with Frontline Traffic Services. He loved going for drives, exploring beaches as far away as the city. His down time was spent gardening and listening to music. Travis channeled his creative side by creating his famous chocolate macaroons and barbecuing meats for family and friends. Travis was kindhearted, loved to make people laugh and to make those family connections. He is survived by his mother, M. Angela "Angie" Morton, Nictaux; father, Richard Acker, Wilmot; sisters, Vanessa Marie Acker, Nictaux; Alyssa Sheppard (Brandon Robar), Wilmot; Rose Morton (Will Windsor), Clementsport; Ashley Morton Halliday, Nictaux; brother, Nicholas J. Acker (Sara Keddy), Middleton; maternal grandmother, Linda White (Morton), Greenwood; nieces, Trinity Rose Marie Windsor, Olivia Rose Victoria Acker, Faith Acker and Eleanor Robar. Travis was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Bethune "Chuck" Russell, paternal grandparents, Curtis and Leona Acker. Visitation will be held 6-8 pm Monday, August 2 ^nd and funeral service will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, August 3 ^rd both in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, toll free 1-855-825-3448 with Pastor Ryan Shephard officiating Due to pandemic restrictions, masking, social distancing, and hand sanitizing are required.
