Obituary

MULLEN, Tyler Lee – age 45 of Amherst, formerly of Weymouth, passed away suddenly on Sunday, August 27, 2017, in Amherst. Born in Digby, on December 2, 1971, he was a son of Richard E. and Sheila R. (Hill) Mullen, Easton. Tyler had served in the Canadian Armed Forces, retiring as a Marine Engineering Technician, serving on both submarines and Iroquois Class Ships. He had worked on the family mink farm. Tyler will be sadly missed by his family and many friends and will be forever remembered. Besides his parents, he is survived by his companion, Jennifer Winters, Amherst; former wife, Ramona Mullen, Ardoise; sons, Cole Blackhurst, Dartmouth; Taylor and Kade Mullen, both of Ardoise; brother, Devin Mullen, Digby; sister, Shannon Mullen, Easton; grandparents, Jack and Vera Hill of Hassett; niece, Tannah; nephew, Kamen. He was predeceased by grandparents, Edmund and Josephine Mullen. Visitation will take place from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday and Thursday evenings in Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., toll free 1-855-825-3448, from where a private funeral service will take place. Dominic J. Rivard officiating, with interment in the Lakeside Cemetery Hilltown Extension, Hilltown. Donations in his memory may be made to Diabetes Canada or to a charity of one's choice.
