VEINOT, Una Evangeline ~ age 84, of Bloomington, NS passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 17, 2019 at home. Born in Bloomington, NS, she was a daughter of the late Charles "Bertie" and Grace (Crouse) Trask. Una devoted her life to raising her family, who she loved dearly; especially enjoying all her grandchildren. She loved nature and took pleasure in feeding the birds and hummingbirds at her home. She loved her cats and enjoyed working in her garden. Una loved spending time reading her Bible and the Daily Bread and doing puzzles in her spare time. She was a big Pittsburgh Penguins fan and loved watching Sidney Crosby play. Una will be deeply missed by her daughters, Kim Veinot (Marc Lemire), Bloomington and Doreen Handley (Frank Brooks), Middleton; sons, Danny Veinot (Tasha Uhlman), Torbrook and Ronald "Ron" Veinot, Bridgewater; sister, Ruby (Bev) Carter, Saint John, NB; brother, Lawrence "Ned" (Lorraine) Trask, Moschelle; grandchildren, Ron (Lisa) McLain, Ontario; Jace Uhlman; Fallan Veinot, both of Torbrook; great-grandchildren, Ron Everett McLain 2 ^nd "RJ"; Crystal and Kelly Irvine, Ontario; great-great-grandchildren, Gracey Marengere, Caiden Marengere and Roland Funstin; many neices and nephews. Besides her parents, Una was predeceased by her husband, Everett in 2013; sisters, Reeta Cummings, Rose Young, Thelma Daniels, Lena Trask and one sister in infancy. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 23, 2019 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St. 902-825-3448 with Rev. Bill McLeod officiating. Interment will be in Nictaux Cemetery. A reception for family and friends will follow the service in the Nictaux Fire Hall.
