Obituary

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Verna Louise Ball (nee McMaster) on Tuesday, May 12th, 2020, at Saint Patrick's Home of Ottawa, at the age of 81 years. Born in Harmony, Nova Scotia, and moving to Ottawa, Ontario in the early 1960s, she spent her life taking care of those around her. She will be greatly missed by her brother James McMaster (Connie), nieces and nephews, and her former spouse Owen Ball. Predeceased by her parents, Lewis and Hazel McMaster, and sisters, Rosemary Woodroffe (Bob) and Carol Hemenway (Steve). We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the staff at Saint Patrick's and a very special mention to Winnie, our Angel on Earth.  She helped make Verna's last few years as special as they could be.
