CHESLEY, Veronica Louise - We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Veronica on January 8, 2016. Born in Halifax, she was the cherished daughter of Mildred (Short) and the late Leonard Gentles, beloved wife of Jason Chesley. She will be sadly missed by her daughters; Ashley (Kyle) Sheridan, Aylesford; Emily (Josh) Hattie, Halifax; two step-sons, Andrew, Middleton; Dennis, Middleton; five precious grandchildren; Ezra, Ellie, Rowan, Riley, Lennex; three sisters, Yvonne Keneford, Ottawa; Christina (Kenny) Stokes, Aylesford; Lauralee Blank (Brad Ferrish), Meadowvale, along with many well-loved nieces and nephews. Veronica was passionate about her family, and spent as much time as possible with her kids and grandkids, often having baking parties with all who wanted to join. She always had a positive attitude and an infectious smile. She loved music, dancing, the ocean, watching her garden grow, the sound of the birds, and spending time with friends. We invite you to share time with those you love and toast her with a memory of time together with her, with a glass of wine. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place and her ashes have been laid in a place very special to her. There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date. Veronica will live in our hearts forever.
