It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Vicki Lynn Nogler on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital, Middleton at the age of 66.
Raised in Margaretsville, Nova Scotia, Vicki remained a true daughter of the Annapolis Valley throughout her life. Vicki dedicated her career to the care of others, serving her community as a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse before retirement. Beyond her professional work, she was a woman of immense kindness. She possessed the rare and beautiful gift of truly hearing people, making everyone in her presence feel seen and valued.
Vicki found great peace and happiness at the cottage, where she loved spending time with her partner, quietly watching the ducks on the water. She was a devoted mother and a cherished friend, but her greatest joy was found in her role as a grandmother. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and she poured her love and wisdom into them at every opportunity.
Surviving is her partner, David Allen; her mother, Virginia Nogler; daughters, Sheena (Deryk) Leschinski, Kristi (Mitchell) Cook; sons, Dustin Durling, Doug (Emily) Allen; grandchildren, Gavin Durling, Vivian Cook, Jordan Cook, Tristan Allen; sisters, Sandra Burns, Constance (Brian) Nogler, Darleen (Ken) Nogler, Valerie (Jay) Samuels, Lorena McGillivray; brothers Earl (Marion) Nogler, Darrell (Kate) Nogler; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
She was predeceased by her father, Earl Gordon Nogler; brother, Carroll Jon Nogler; brothers-in-law, Carmen Burns and Everett Burgoyne.
In keeping with Vicki’s personal wishes, there will be no formal funeral service. Her family encourages those who knew her to remember her through acts of kindness or by taking a moment to truly listen to someone in need, just as she always did. There will be a time of celebration and remembrance held at the Margaretsville Community Hall on Saturday, May 16, 2026 between 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. All are welcome.
For those who wish to honor her memory, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, 1-855-825-3448. Online guest book may be signed by visiting: www.middletonfuneralhome.com
