Obituary

PARTRIDGE, Vickie Lynn - 48 of Enfield. It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Vickie Lynn Partridge of Enfield on August 15, 2011, after a long, courageous battle with cancer with many family by her side. Born November 19, 1962, in Saint John, N.B., she was the daughter of Nora and Raymond Weir, and is survived by her husband, Dean Partridge; brothers, Richard (Nancy), Carson (Theressa), and sister, Paulette (Ken), and mother and father in-law, Mary and Ron Partridge and sister in-law, Donna (Doug), nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly, Lindsey Dennison, Tyra and Zoe Brennan, David Weir, Tracy and Troy Trimper, and great nephew, Riley Dennison. She was predeceased by brother-in-law, James Brennan, MB. Vickie graduated from UPC Bible School, and from the Human Resource Management course with honors, to work with the VON in many areas as home care worker, scheduler and most recently as Coordinator of VON Volunteer Services, Truro. Vickie enjoyed working with special needs individuals and loved singing for seniors, and will always be remembered by all as a giver of herself to others. To all of our dearest family and friends who have provided so much time, encouragement and love, we wish to express our deepest gratitude and to all the doctors and nurses and home care workers for the exceptional care given over the years, with a special thanks to the nurses and doctors of the palliative care unit of the VG Site, QEII. Visitation will be held 7:00 to 9:00PM, Thursday, August 18, 2011 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, (902) 825-3448, the funeral service will be held 2:00PM, Friday, August 19, 2011 in the United Pentecostal Church, Middleton, with Pastor Dean Dickinson officiating. Interment will be in Fundy View Cemetery, Port Lorne. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a Charity of Choice.
