MARTIN, Violet Johannah - Age 75 of Kingston, NS passed away Monday, December 22, 2014 in Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton after a lengthy battle with COPD. Born in St. John's, NL she was a daughter of the late John and Loretta (Dwyer) Yetman. Violet dearly loved her family and enjoyed spending time with each of them. In her spare time Violet enjoyed bingo, playing golf, going shopping and having coffee with her friends whom she valued highly. She is survived by her loving husband and best friend, William "Gene" whom she married in 1962; her daughter, April (Sid) Spurrell, Paradise, NL; her sons, Joseph (Cynthia) Martin, Tremont and Todd (Lorraine) Martin, Henderson, Nevada; her sisters, Mary Bishop, St. Mary's, NL; Myrtle (Kevin) Conway, Cupids, NL and Theresa (Cecil) Taylor, C.B.S., NL; her brothers, Robert "Bob" (Ella) Yetman, C.B.S., NL; Pat (Jean) Yetman, Kelowna, BC; Al Yetman, C.B.S., NL and Ed Yetman, Vancouver, BC; her grandchildren Rebeka, William, Reese and Riley and great grandsons Nikolas, Jacob and Bentley. In keeping with Violet's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or service at this time. Donations in Violet's memory may be made to the Lung Association of Nova Scotia.
