Obituary

MARTIN, Violet Turner-Age 92 of Windsor, NS formerly of Wilmot, NS passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2015 in Dykeland Lodge, Windsor. Born in St. John's, NL, she was a daughter of the late Theophlis and Tryphena (Chaulk) Wells. Violet was a graduate of the Children's Hospital School of Nursing, Halifax. She was a former member of the IODE and enjoyed fishing, camping, bowling and golfing. Violet is survived by her daughters, Susan (Wayne) Ball, Middleton, NS; Turner Wells and Carol Smith, both of Windsor, NS and Marthalee (Ned) Mandaric, Oliver, BC; son, Michael (Judy) Martin, Norway; eight grandchildren and 16 Great Grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Leonard Martin; daughter, Lorraine Stewart; son, Ronald Martin, sisters, Nell Evans; Mary Mews, Dorothy Norman and brother, Robert Wells. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 2:00PM Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at Dykeland Lodge, 124 Cottage Street, Windsor, NS with Chaplain Deborah Mosher officiating. Interment will be in Holy Trinity Anglican Cemetery, Middleton. Donations in memory of Violet may be made to Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Middleton or Dykeland Lodge Recreation Department, Windsor.
