SPICER, Vivian Nina - of Middleton, formerly of Meadowvale, passed away on Tuesday, July 24, 2018, at the age of 86 at Heart of the Valley Long Term Care Centre, Middleton. Born December 31, 1931 at home in East Tremont, NS, she was a daughter of the late Arleigh and Ina (Milner) Hatt. She worked as a waitress in her early years. She loved dogs and owned several over the years...Frosty was one of her favorites. She also loved her Oldsmobile cars and her Reece's Peanut Butter Cups! She is survived by daughter, Valeda MacDougall and fiancé, Richard Chapelhow, Bear River; her sister, Heather (Bob) McDougall, Greenwood; her brother, Enos "Sonny" Hatt and partner, Jessie Cloutier, Meadowvale; grandchildren, Ashley Payne, Cornwallis Park; Douglas Payne, Alberta; as well as two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by loving husband, Robert Spicer; brothers, Arnold, Morley (Inez); sisters, Marjorie (Russell) Whynott and Freda (Arthur) Lashinsky. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday July 27, 2018, in Tremont Cemetery with Lic. Robert McDougall officiating. Donations in Vivian's memory may be made to Heart of the Valley Long Term Care Centre, Middleton. Arrangements have been entrusted to Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., 902-825-3448.
