ROBICHEAU, Walter John, 69, of Ashmore, died September 3, 2014 in Digby General Hospital. Born in Weymouth North, Digby County, he was the son of the late Walter and Esther Mary (Risseeuw) Robicheau. He was self-employed, working outdoors all of his life as a jack-of-all-trades, mostly for seniors. He enjoyed playing hockey and baseball in his younger days. He also enjoyed working in the woods and hunting. He is survived by his wife, the former Joyceann Lent; two sons, Matthew (Tamara), Ashmore, and Benjamin (Jennifer), Digby; sisters, Theresa (Cameron) Reid, Powell River, B.C., Mary Esther (Raymond) Good, Ladysmith, B.C., and Beverly, Saulnierville; brothers, Reginald, Weymouth, and Herman "Dickie" (Marie), Margaretsville; two grandchildren, Lance and Carrington; as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Walter was predeceased by brothers, Edward and Louis. Cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be at the Riverside Cemetery, Weymouth North, on Friday September 12, 2014 at 2 p.m., followed by a reception at the Weymouth Historical Society Hall, everyone welcome. Walter was very faithful to his community and customers, and will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
