WHITMAN, Wanda Lynn ~ Age 66, of North Kingston, Kings Co., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 5, 2019, at home, surrounded by loved ones after a short battle with cancer. Born in Berwick, Kings Co., on June 25, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Cecil and Nina (Joudrey) Veinotte. Wanda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed gardening, flowers and vegetables, spending time with family, baking, crocheting, making pickles and jam and having big family dinners. She is survived by her loving husband, Darrell "Skip" Bowlby; daughter, Kelly (George); sons, Jonathan (Kelli), Matthew (Jayme), Bruce (Theresa); step children, Darrell (Tammy), James and Deanna, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; siblings, Rex (Darlene), Harvey (Darlene), Don (Margaret), Ann (David), Joy (Emerson); brothers-in-law, Wayne (Donna) and Kim (Gail); sisters-in-law, Dorothy (Tim) and Sandra. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by siblings, Lawrence, RubyAnn and Milton; nieces, Dorothy and Kimberley. Darrell and Kelly would like to thank the team of oncologists in Halifax, the Victorian Order of Nurses Palliative Care and nurse practitioner, Dale Young for their excellent care they provided for Wanda. Cremation has taken place. A gathering for family and friends will be held 2-4 p.m., Saturday, November 9, 2019, in Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, toll 1-855-825-3448.
