Obituary

RYAN, Waneita Bernice age 95 of Kingston, passed away peacefully, Monday, October 26, 2015 at Kennedy's Boarding Home for Seniors, Kingston. Born in Bloomington, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Sardina (Robar) Bruce. Waneita was a member of the World Wide Church of God. In early years she was employed at Scotian Gold in Middleton and Coldbrook. Waneita loved family gatherings, flower gardens, quilting and painting. She is survived by her husband, William K. Ryan, Kingston; children, Judy Bezanson, Brickton, Anthony (Patricia) Nichols, Peterborough, ON and Cindy Keizer (nee Nichols), Middleton; brother, Vernon Bruce, Beaver Bank, sister, Thelma Bruce, Grace Haven, Paradise; 12 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Charles E. Nichols, daughter, Pamela (nee Nichols) Ritchie; brothers, Laurie, Ira, Kenneth and Leslie; sisters, Marie Hannam, Goldie Trask, Vera Anderson, Angie Willett and Ivy Bezanson. At Waneita's request, there will be no visitation. The funeral service will be held 2:00PM, Friday, October 30, 2015 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, (902) 825-3448 with Rev. Leon Langille officiating. Interment will be the Nictaux Cemetery. Donations in memory of Waneita may be made to the Alzheimer Society or the Twelve Baskets Food Bank.
