Warren Alan
Jackson
April 10, 1944 – September 11, 2024
JACKSON, Warren Alan ~ age 80, of Clarence, Annapolis County, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 11, 2024. He was doing what he loved – working the farm. Born in Middleton, he was a son of the late A. Manning and Marjorie (Neily) Jackson. He had a mixed farm with both dairy and beef cattle, as well as a variety of other animals through the years, with chickens and his beloved Clydesdales being constants. Warren was Chairman of the Poultry Committee at the Annapolis Valley Exhibition for close to 50 years and also showed poultry and the Clydes there, winning many awards. He loved chatting with anyone who took an interest in either and also greatly enjoyed catching up with everyone he knew. Kindhearted and softspoken, generous with others but frugal with himself, curious and interested but also set in his ways, he will be sadly missed by all who knew him (including four-legged companion Bruno). Warren is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Sandra (Burke); sons, David (Jeanette) Jackson, Halifax and Michael Jackson, North Alton; sisters, Gertrude Harvey, Truro; Pauline Spicer, Truro; Margaret (Don) Weatherbe, Dartmouth; brother, Fred (Honey) Jackson, River Hebert; granddaughters, Lauren and Emily, and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Primrose; brothers, Vance, Laurence and Douglas. Funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Monday, September 16, 2024, in Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St. (toll-free 1-855-825-3448) with Rev. Leon Langille officiating. A reception for family and friends will follow the service. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Middleton. Donations in Warren's memory may be made to the IWK, Christmas Daddies or a charity of one's choice.
