MCLAUGHLIN, Warren Charles - With broken hearts we had to say goodbye to Dad on Friday, June 1, 2018, after he lost his short battle with pneumonia. Born in Middleton, he was a son of the late Austin and Doris (Stevenson) McLaughlin.  Warren owned and operated McLaughlin Roofing and Siding, and was well-known around the Valley. An unfortunate accident in 2012 forced him to retire at the age of 72. He was a "jack of all trades" and amazed us with his craftsmanship and knowledge. He enjoyed woodworking, cruising with Ollie in his '48 Ford, playing the guitar and spoiling his granddaughters. Warren will always be remembered by his wife of 57 years, Olive (Illsley); daughters, Catherine McLaughlin, Middleton, Kelly (Glenn) Banks, Forest Glade; granddaughters, Stefanie Banks and Shelby Banks; sister Audrey (Gordon) Spidle; brothers Dean (Audrey), Lethbridge, Eric (Wenda), Margaretsville, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, brother, Graham and sisters Gail and Lee. By request cremation has taken place and there will be a Memorial Service at 2:00 PM Thursday, June 7 at Middleton Funeral Home 398 Main St. 902-825-3448 with Rev. Patty Beals officiating.  Interment will be in Church Grove Cemetery, Melvern Square.  Donations in Warren's memory can be made to Brain Injury Association of Nova Scotia.
