NEILY, Wayne Patrick ~ Age 78, of Tremont, Kings Co., passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2024, at home. Born in Middleton, he was a son of the late Earle B. and Vivian E. (Barkhouse) Neily. Surviving are a daughter, Viv Ross, Michigan; brother, Larry (Antoinette) Neily, Lawrencetown. Wayne graduated from West Kings District High School and Acadia University. He worked for Parks Canada as park naturalist at Cape Breton Highlands and Kluane National Parks; and later at the Fort Whyte Nature Centre in Winnipeg. Wayne also worked as a teacher in Manitoba & Nova Scotia and ran his own business, Peregrine Heritage Services. His interests included birding and genealogy. Wayne was involved in many environmental groups. A private interment will take place at a later date in Tremont Community Cemetery.
