Wayne Stephen
Savage
August 3, 1956 – October 16, 2025
It is with extreme heartbreak that we announce the sudden passing of Wayne Stephen Savage, age 69, at home on October 16, 2025.
Born in Halifax, NS, Wayne was the son of the late David and Emily (Burgess) Savage.
Wayne, a carpenter by trade, was employed with the Halifax Regional Municipality for many years. Following an early retirement, he and Tamara moved to the Annapolis Valley and purchased a home to renovate, which became his passion. Being a carpenter in a large family meant that every family member, at one time or another, had Wayne working on a project for them. He loved carpentry and excelled at it.
In his teens, Wayne was a member of the Dartmouth Boys Pipe and Drum band as well as the Dartmouth Legion band. Wayne also participated, with his family, in square dancing and was a member of the Teen Troopers Square Dance Club for several years.
Besides his parents, Wayne was predeceased by sister, Cheryl Leonard, Hamilton, Ontario and brother-in-law, Mike Mills, Bridgewater, NS.
Wayne is survived by his partner, Tamara Perry; son, Stephen (Kelly Anne) Halifax; daughter, Katelynn (Brad) Armstrong, Sackville; stepdaughters, Amy Andrews (Alex) and Alicia (Karl) Aalders; grandchildren, Danny, Skylar, Mason, Avery, Claire, Caleb, Jacob, Lucas, and Kaelyn; siblings, David (Bonnie), Wade (Linda), Mark (Jackie), Susan Mills, Christine (Mervin) Jack, Bruce; brother-in-law, Pat Leonard; along with many nieces and nephews who all hold special memories of Wayne in their hearts.
While our hearts are broken, we have many wonderful memories of Wayne that will comfort us as we navigate the grief of this loss.
