TAYLOR, Wayne Kenneth -60 of Lawrencetown, NS passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2013 in QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax. Born in Middleton, he was a son of Gladys (Gaul) Taylor, Bridgetown and the late Kenneth Taylor. Wayne was a past member of the Lawrencetown & District Volunteer Fire Department. He worked at the Brickton Irving Station for many years. Wayne was a vocational instructor who enjoyed working with people with mental, emotional or physical disabilities. He was a huge hockey fan and the Toronto Maple Leafs was his favorite team. Wayne enjoyed fishing and loved the outdoors and especially loved his grandchildren. Besides his mother, Gladys Taylor, he is survived by daughters, Carrie Taylor (Chris Rouse), Middleton and Cassandra Taylor, Kingston and their mother, Wanda Taylor, Fort McMurray, AB; sisters, Cathy (Clay) Hannam, Lawrencetown; Bev (David) Baker, Paradise; Miki (Eric) Lemieux, Kingston; brothers, Ricky (Phyllis) Taylor and Stacey (Helen) Taylor both of Lawrencetown and grandchildren, Alex, Nate, Arihanna, Ethan and Kyla and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Kenneth. Visitation will be held 7:00PM -9:00PM Thursday, October 3, 2013 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, (902) 825-3448 where the funeral service will be held 2:00PM Friday, October 4, 2013 with Rev. Danny Smith officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Lawrencetown. Donations in memory may be made to a Charity of Choice.
