BANKS, Wilda Jean Marie - 74, of East Torbrook, NS passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at her home surrounded by her family. Born in Carragana, Saskatchewan, she was a daughter of the late Havelock and Alice (Ewen) McFadyen. Wilda devoted her life to her family and her and Neil both worked on their farm in East Torbook. In earlier years, with Neil serving with the Canadian Armed Forces, they lived in Shilo, Manitoba then they were posted to Germany for three years and then moved back to Canada to Petawawa, Ontario and later retiring back home to East Torbook. Wilda is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Neil Banks; son, Brian (Teresa) Banks, Whitehorse, Yukon; daughters, Donna (Bob) Barnes, Dartmouth and Lori Banks, East Torbrook; twin sister, Wanda McNally, Atinkokan, ON and sister, Anne (Frank) Manley, Hundred Mile House, BC; brother, Dennis McFadyen, Prince George, BC; grandchildren, Tanya Robar, Matthew Robar, Trina LeRue, Jason Barnes, Bradley Barnes, Amber Banks, Brittany Banks, Travis Banks and Megan Banks; great grandchildren, Skyler Robar, Jayden Robar, Veroniqua Barnes, Calleigh Barnes and Abigail LeRue. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Ivan and sister Ruby. Cremation has taken place. A "Celebration of Life" service will be held 7:00PM Tuesday, March 12, 2013 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448.
