MOOREHEAD, Dr. William John - Aged 91 of Greenwood Village entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior on April 13, 2014 at Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton. He was the son of William and Dorothy (Somerville) Moorehead of Stratford, Ontario. William came to Greenwood as an Airman in 1944. After accepting the call to ministry, he trained at the Kingston Bible College and was graduated in 1949. He was principal of the Academy for 13 years and became the pastor of Bible Baptist Church in 1962. Many people in the Valley benefitted from his radio Early Bird ministry. His vibrant spirit demonstrated his love for people, most importantly, his family. He was predeceased by Marian Lytle, his dear wife of 64 years and brothers, Douglas and Donald. Surviving are daughters, Heather (Lee) Wood, Truro; Donna (Bruce) Brooks, Alberta; Martha Joy "Tish" (Jeff) Hiltz, Muncie, Indiana; sons, Graham Moorehead, Greenwood and Jonathan (Beth) Moorehead, Barrie, Ontario as well as twelve grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Marilyn Moorehead and Gloria Moorehead. William also enjoyed the camaraderie of his five brothers, Robert (Jean); Gerald (Ermythe); Ken (Evelyn) all of Stratford, Ontario. Visitation will be held 7:00 to 9:00PM Wednesday, April 16, 2014 in the Middleton Funeral Home 398 Main Street (902) 825-3448. The funeral service will be held 2:00PM, Thursday, April 17, 2014 at Faith Baptist Church, 1196 Bridge Street, Greenwood with Rev. Leon Langille officiating.
