ACKLAND, William Robert Bill 57 of North Kingston passed away Saturday, December 18, 2010 in the QE II Health Sciences Centre, V.G. Site. Born in Chatham N.B., he was a son of the late Claude and Ella (Springer) Ackland. Bill was an entrepreneur who had his own landscaping business for several years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and being a Dad. Bill was a very positive man who never put himself before others. His words of wisdom will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Bill is survived by his loving wife Carolyn Kennedy and his three wonderful children of whom he was very proud. Sally (Nick), Dartmouth; Melanie, Toronto and Robert, Kingston, N.S. Also sister Catherine Conrad, Greenwood, N.S. and brothers Richard (Debbie), Aylesford and Lawrence, Las Vegas, USA. Cremation has taken place. At Bills request, there will not be any funeral and there will be a scattering of his ashes at a later date. Donations in his memory may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Nova Scotia.
