Wood, William Ronald "Billy" ~ age 85 of Inglisville, Annapolis Co., passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2023 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville.  Born in Lawrencetown, Annapolis County, he was a son of William "Eldridge" and Sylvia (Whitman) Wood.  Billy operated his own trucking business, enjoyed farming and working on his wood lot.  He also enjoyed hunting and snowmobiling in his younger years. Billy loved his family dearly and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Billy is survived by his wife of 65 years, June; sons, Ron (Gail) Ruggles, Inglisville; LeRoy (Sue) Wood, Inglisville; Robert "Bud" (Stefanie) Wood, Nictaux; daughter, Rhonda (Mike) Bezanson, Lawrencetown; sisters, Eleanor Durland, Annapolis; Joan Alders, North Alton; Janet (Wendell) Pye, Inglisville; Barbara Wood, Truro; June Hiltz, Canaan; Donna (Richard) Rice, British Columbia; Mary Lou (Norman) Gautreau, Cole Harbour; brother, Murray Wood, Port George; grandchildren, Jeremy Ruggles, Ottawa; Ryan Ruggles (Dionne), Alberta; Melissa Wood (Will), Inglisville; Jason (Karen) Wood, Windsor; Dawson Wood, Falmouth; Allison Bezanson (Justin), Inglisville; Jordyn Bezanson, Lawrencetown; Lauren Burns (Joel), Halifax; great-grandchildren, Landon, Scarlet, Jaxon, Jazmine, Max; numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Billy was predeceased by sisters, Lois and Phyllis in infancy, brothers, Harold, Russell, Stephen and Carl and Ralph in infancy. In keeping with Billy's wishes, cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 in the Fairview Cemetery, Lawrencetown with Juanita Richardson officiating.
