OUTHOUSE, Wilson Bryant - age 97 of Tiverton, NS passed away Saturday, November 29, 2014 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Tiverton, he was a son of the late Heber and Annise Outhouse. Wilson was in the Canadian Army for a brief period before being medically discharged. Later he went to work fishing, driving truck for Small Brothers and Digby County Power Board. Wilson retired as Captain of the Joe Casey after 28 years of service. In his retirement he loved playing cards with the Super Seniors and motoring around on his scooter. He loved his home on the cosy Island of Tiverton for 97 years. He is survived by his sons, David (Angela) Outhouse, Grand Manan, NB and Dwight (Angela) Outhouse, Digby; his grandchildren, Bub, Julie, Annise, Hayley, Jocelyn and Michael; 10 great grandchildren; one great great-grandchild and his good friend, Muriel Guier, Tiverton. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife of 51 years, Ruth Murphy; brother, David and two children in infancy. Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. Monday, December 1, 2014 in the Tiverton United Baptist Church where the funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 2nd, Pastor Rick Small officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Tiverton. By request, family flowers only. Donations in Wilson's memory may be made to the Tiverton United Baptist Church.
