Obituary

NIXON, Winnifred Pauline 90 of Grand View Manor, Berwick and formerly of Margaretsville, passed away Monday, August 1, 2011 in Grand View Manor. Born in North Kingston, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Ethel (Smith) Illsley. She loved to travel, listen to old country music, doing the daily crossword puzzle in the newspaper and especially loved it when all the family got together. Winnifred is survived by daughters, Barbara (Gordon) Chute, Margaretsville, Eva West, Mindemoya, Ont., Phyllis (Wayne) Feltmate, Oromocto, NB and Darlene (Ray)Trimble, Cold Lake, AB; sons, Lewis and Robert, both of Nictaux, Charlie (Rowena), Red Deer, AB and Lester (Connie), Springfield, Oregon; sister, Eva Lisson, Sussex, NB; 16 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Leonard, sisters, Annie and Marion, brother, Heber and son-in-law, Michael West. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 2:30 p.m. Sunday, August 14, 2011 in the Middleton Funeral Home 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448, Rev. Eugene Foster officiating. Interment will be in the North Kingston Cemetery. Donations in memory may be made to Canadian Diabetes Association; Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia or Charity of Choice.
