Yongfu Hu, 88, of Middleton, passed away on Monday, May 5, 2025, in Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Shandong Province, China, he was a tank soldier and was awarded a second-class merit, a third-class merit, and a commendation before the team. After retiring from the army, he worked as a driver at the University of Science and Technology Beijing, where he taught many excellent drivers. He once bravely carried his colleague out of the mountain stream in a car accident. His survivors include his daughter Xiaojie Hu (Amanda) and son-in-law Xin Guan (Wolf), who now live in Middleton; his son Xiaowei Hu and his wife Lihong Xiao (now living in Beijing, China); and his granddaughter Xiaoxiao Hu. Yongfu Hu is the last surviving member of the family elders. In accordance with his wishes, his body has been cremated.
